A Brand New Estuary Adventure In Exmouth

For some time now, I’ve been dying to share some news with you. Each day since arriving at Lympstone Manor, I’ve continued to fall deeper and deeper in love with the Exe Estuary and the towns, villages and people up and down it. Now, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be opening a restaurant with a bar and a café area as part of the new waterfront development in Exmouth.

To me, both as a chef and as a Devon boy, Exmouth holds great significance both as the gateway to the Jurassic coast and also as an important contributor to our county’s incredible larder. So, for me, when given the opportunity to be involved in the project alongside Edge Water Sports it really was a no brainer.

From a casual dining restaurant with an upstairs terrace to a dog-friendly café space downstairs offering lighter bites, homemade ice creams and local coffee, I’m confident that we’re creating a space for all tastes.

This new adventure has given my passion for the area to grow even further and words really can’t describe keen I am to get stuck in. As ever, my understanding of the importance of tourism and hospitality to the local economy and jobs market will be at the forefront of all of the decisions we’ll make and it’s my intention to ensure that we’re utilising the talent at the local college and academy to bring young people through on an apprenticeship scheme and give them the chance to get into the catering and hospitality industry.

Doors will open at my new restaurant in 2020. In the meantime, please do check back from time to time to find out how it’s all going and, whilst it’s sure to be a busy time, you have my word that I’ll do everything possible to keep you all updated.

As always, thank you for your continued and much appreciated support.
