Michael’s highly acclaimed and award winning cuisine lies at the heart of all his activities.
Lympstone Manor is Michael’s flagship and the total embodiment of his vision of luxury country house hospitality for the 21st century. The restaurant serves Michael’s acclaimed Michelin starred cuisine in the fine dining rooms of the Georgian Manor.
Michael has established two restaurants in Cornwall, both offering picturesque views in a relaxed dining experience that champions the very best in Cornish produce.
Nestled on the shoreline of Maenporth beach, just outside of Falmouth, The Cove Restaurant & Bar offers stunning, uninterrupted views across Falmouth Bay, where guests can enjoy lunch al fresco on the elevated terrace, or wind down the day with the full dining experience. The restaurant offers a relaxed and informal approach to dining, serving morning coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. The Cove also offers Michael’s Signature Menu, for the ultimate taste of Michael’s Cuisine and the produce Cornwall has to offer, while there are also vegetarian and vegan Signature Tasting Menus available too.
Further South, at the southernmost port on mainland Great Britain, The Harbourside Refuge Restaurant & Bar overlooks the stunning harbour in Porthleven that offers a save haven for guests to enjoy exceptional food in this fantastic location. Whether you’re looking for a romantic meal, or to celebrate a special occasion with the whole family or even looking for a place to stop for lunch while walking the dog, you will always receive a warm and dog-friendly welcome at The Harbourside Restaurant.
In 2021, Michael opened his fourth restaurant, Mickeys Beach in Exmouth, Devon that is set overlooking the stunning beach and is championing the best regional produce. Next door to Mickeys Beach, The Cafe Patisserie Glacerie is the place for fresh coffee, juices, hot pasties and pies, homemade pastries or Italian gelato made on the premises.
Lympstone Manor is a luxury five-star country house hotel in Devon overlooking the tranquility of the Exe estuary and the Jurassic Coast. The hotel has 21 luxurious guestrooms and suites, six Shepherd Huts, acclaimed Michelin-star dining by Michael Caines, a world-class wine cellar, and 28 acres of parkland and grounds, including a vineyard.
Dining at Lympstone Manor is an exceptional experience in every way. Here, in the beautiful dining rooms of a Grade II listed Georgian mansion, Michael is most fully able to express his vision of modern British cuisine making full use of the outstanding larder from field and sea that is literally at his doorstep. Michael’s cuisine is refined and elegant and is rooted in seasonality, regionality and locality.
Wine is an important feature of dining at Lympstone Manor, with a world cellar that contains over 600 bins. The Wine Emotion system ensures that a full and exciting range of wines is available by the glass so that menus and dishes can be matched with precision.
2020 saw the first harvest from the Lympstone Manor vineyard, an exciting moment. The first wine was released in 2022: the ‘Triassic’ Pinot Noir and the Lympstone Manor Classic Cuvée, a premium sparkling wine made from the classic cuvée of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier grapes, will be released in autumn 2023.

As chef-proprietor of The Cove, a restaurant-bar overlooking Maenporth beach, Michael is hugely excited to bring his cuisine and style of hospitality and service to Cornwall. This relaxed Cornish hideaway just a stone’s throw from Falmouth could not be in a better position, located atop Maenporth Beach where golden sand gives way to turquoise water. The restaurant takes full advantage of this wonderful position, with a glass-front and open-air terrace giving unrivalled views across the Roseland Heritage Coast, Pendennis Castle, and St Anthony Lighthouse.
Here Michael now brings culinary magic, offering a flexible dining experience using the freshest, locally sourced Cornish produce and ingredients prepared with his unmistakable, award-winning style. Menus range from informal foods to enjoy by the sea for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as well as the full Michael Caines Signature dining experience.

Located in Porthleven, the southernmost port on the mainland of Great Britain, the protected harbour was originally created as a safe haven for sea vessels travelling along the beautiful yet rugged south Cornish coast. Here, Michael has created a haven for all lovers of food and drink who choose to make their way to this idyllic spot in fine weather or foul. When the sun is shining, there is truly nowhere more beautiful on earth; and when the sea is rough, the waves breaking on the harbour wall, there is nowhere in the UK more dramatic and suggestive.
Michael invites you to discover this magical spot to sample and enjoy his acclaimed, informal foods and cuisine throughout the day and evening. Whether you’re joining us for a three-course dinner, popping in for breakfast on your morning walk, or just fancy stopping off for a coffee, there is always a warm welcome on hand for all of our visitors.
