At the recent Food Reader Awards 2016 on January 25 at Michael Caines beat off strong competition from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Paul Ainsworth to be crowned Local Food Hero.
Kentisbury Grange and The Coach House by Michael Caines have also won Gold at the South West Tourism Awards in February 2016 in both the Small Hotel of The Year and Taste of the South West categories.
Furthermore, at the Devon Tourism Awards ceremony at the end of 2015, The Coach House by Michael Caines at the Kentisbury Grange Hotel in North Devon won Restaurant of the Year category while Kentisbury Grange itself was awarded Small Hotel of the Year.
