The Coach House by Michael Caines is a 17th century former coaching house situated in the grounds of the Kentisbury Grange Hotel on the edge of Exmoor. Recently transformed into a 50 cover, fine-dining restaurant, The Coach House features handmade artisan furniture and an impressive open-plan kitchen which gives diners an opportunity to see the team of talented chefs at work.
Upstairs, the beautiful lounge is the perfect setting for a pre-dinner drink, after-dinner digestive or a relaxing coffee, whilst the pretty outside terrace offers a charming setting for al-fresco dining during the summer months.
“I am delighted to bring my cuisine to North Devon.”
The Kentisbury Grange Hotel offers a wonderful hospitality experience, with its stunning location in a beautiful part of North Devon. Building on the solid foundation already established, Michael’s involvement has helped to take The Coach House cuisine and restaurant service to a much higher level. Utilising the bounty of North Devon and the South West to create dishes based on his signature cuisine, the awards and accolades that the restaurant is already collecting demonstrates that this is now one of Devon’s finest dining experiences.
General Manager at Kentisbury Grange, Peter Farquhar, adds: “Michael’s involvement is very exciting as it enables us to move to a whole new level in all aspects of our hospitality offering. We encourage everybody – our regular visitors as well as those who have not yet discovered us – to come and experience Michael’s stunning cuisine for yourselves.”
