The Michael Caines Restaurant is the spectacular centrepiece of the ABode Chester dining experience. Located on the 5th floor, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, this is a special place to come to enjoy Michael Caines cuisine of the highest order. The atmospheric dining room can accommodate 76 diners comfortably indoors, while the outside terrace provides the best open-air dining option in the city, directly overlooking Chester's famous racecourse. Service is friendly and efficient without being overly formal. A glass-fronted, temperature-controlled wine room is a feature for more than 150 wines on the ABode Chester list.

Grazing, Michael Caines style
While we offer a full à la carte menu as well as a tasting menu,
Michael Caines has pioneered an exciting concept based on ‘grazing'
dishes: small, perfectly formed grazing dishes based on dishes on our
full à la carte menu. These can be enjoyed informally in the Champagne
Bar, or else you can make a full meal from them by selecting and
ordering as many as you like in the Restaurant. Grazing is a modern
concept and one that seems particularly in tune with what today's
diners enjoy.

Start off with a flûte of Champagne in the Champagne Bar while perusing
the à la carte menu that changes with the seasons before moving in to
the stunning dining room to enjoy your meal at your leisure. If there
is anything at all that our staff can do to make your dining experience

"Amazing Graze" lunch menu
Our 'grazing' concept is also available for lunch, a changing seasonal
2- or 3-course menu that offers smaller dishes, presented and served
with Michael Caines style. This 'amazing grazing' lunch is outstanding
value and gives a real taste of our high quality cuisine. Moreover, we
respect the busy demands on your time and guarantee to serve you lunch
within one hour. Should time not be an issue, then you are naturally
invited to linger over your meal as long as you like.
Early Dining
One of the most accessible ways to enjoy and experience Michael Caines at ABode Chester is to come along from 6-7pm to enjoy our special Early Dining menu, a 2- or 3-course menu that changes weekly. This is probably the best dining deal in Chester!
Tasting menu with wines
Each week, Executive Chef Stuart Collins, devises a special tasting menu that includes both dishes from the a la carte and grazing menus as well as special seasonal creations. This is a finely balanced, carefully crafted menu that demonstrates both the Michael Caines style of cooking as well as Stuart's own creativity and culinary expertise. Our sommeliers meanwhile match each dish with a specially selected wine to create the ultimate dining experience.
