Executive Chef Jean-Marc Zanetti
Jean-Marc Zanetti is the newly appointed Executive Chef at the Michael
Caines Restaurant at ABode Canterbury. Jean-Marc replaces Mark Rossi,
who was the Executive Chef since ABode Canterbury was launched in 2006.
Before joining Michael at Gidleigh Park in 1994, Jean-Marc worked in
several Michelin star restaurants in Burgundy and the South of France.
Jean-Marc was given the opportunity to open the first Michael Caines
Restaurant in Exeter in 1999 as Head Chef. The restaurant was an
immediate success and achieve many accolades before becoming the first
Michael Caines Restaurant at ABode Exeter.
Jean-Marc decided after working for over 10 years with Michael Caines to
broaden his experience working with John Burton-Race at the New Angel
in Dartmouth. After working there he went to the Hengist Restaurant in
Aylesford where he worked along side TV chef Richard Phillips for three
years .
Jean-Marc said "I was looking for a new challenge when Michael offered
me the opportunity to take over in Canterbury. I could not resist the
opportunity to be a part of this exciting new venture between Michael
Caines and Andrew Brownsword. It was a pleasure to come back to work for
Michael and to see how much the company has evolved and grown in the
last years.
"With the help of Canterbury's Head Chef Toby Lin and our talented team
of chefs at ABode Canterbury, we aim to work with skill and imagination
to produce brilliant local food that is served with professional style
and exceptional hospitality."
